Chapter the Last

In the last chapter Huck talks about how Jim is finally free. In his masters will he is declared free so then he is now officially a free man. Once out of the chains Tom gives Jim 40 dollars for being so patient with them and Jim is very happy with the two boys. JIm tells Huck that he will be rich again just like he was but Huck worried about his dad having already spent it all, doubts Jim. JIm tells him that his dad won't be bothering him anymore because he is dead. The three head off for another adventure and then Huck stops writing.
I think the end of the book was a happy ending for Huck even though his dad had died, he didn't seem phased about it but more happy that he was with his friends and Jim was free. I didn't like the ending of the book too much because of how Huck just ended it. He spent all the time writing about the process of trying to free Jim and then all of a sudden he is free. It was a little boring but the fact that everything worked out in the end is good.

Scotttiee!
I agree about the ending of the book and a. how Huck felt and b. how you felt about it. I don't think Huck really cared that much about his Father dying, because for the most part, his father wasn't that nice of a man to him. His adventure had ended and Jim was free, so Huck was excited to start a new adventure! I also think there could have been a little more information about how Jim felt about being free, and how Huck felt to have helped free him. During the book his opinion over freeing Jim changed alot, so I would have liked to know if he felt bad once the job was done, or if he was ok since Mrs. Watson was the one who actually freed him.
Good Job Scottie!

SCCOOOTTTYYYYY good blog, man. You put in good effort. I disagree though, and would say that the ending to this book was actually a sad one. None of the characters truly got what they wanted to, and were still looking for more in their lives. Scotty good luck in JV tomorrow bro...good post

Many people may disagree with you saying that this chapter was a happy one. I agree with you 100% percent. I liked how you said that Huck was happy even though his dad died, and Jim was especially happy because he was freed from slavery. Good Job, Scott!!! :)

Good blog, buddy. In some respects, the end of the book was a happy one. Everyone seemed to get what they wanted: Jim got freedom; Tom had his leg healed; and Huck's friends were all safe.

However, one has to also consider Huck being possibly forced back into civilized society. Would this really be a good ending for him?
